Murder & Serious Crime Defence Lawyer Karachi

Careful defence and complainant representation in murder and other serious offences under the PPC.

Raised hands in metal handcuffs

In brief

Cases under section 302 PPC and other grave offences carry the heaviest consequences in criminal law. They depend on eyewitness evidence, medical and forensic reports, recoveries and how the investigation was conducted.

We study the record closely, challenge contradictions and procedural defects, and advise on bail, trial strategy, compromise under the Qisas and Diyat provisions where the law permits, and appeals.

Who this is for

Accused persons and their families, and the families of victims who need representation at trial.

How we can assist

  • Defence at investigation and trial
  • Bail in serious offences
  • Representation for complainants and victims' families
  • Compromise under Qisas and Diyat law, where permitted
  • Criminal appeals before the High Court of Sindh

When clients come to us

  • A relative is accused in a murder or attempted murder case
  • A family wants to pursue a case after a killing
  • The parties are considering a lawful compromise
  • A conviction needs to be appealed

How the matter moves

After the FIR and investigation, the police submit a challan and the Sessions Court frames the charge. The prosecution leads evidence, witnesses are cross-examined, the accused records a statement, and the court gives judgment. An appeal may follow.

Papers to keep ready

  • FIR and challan copies
  • Medical and post-mortem reports
  • Witness statements, if available
  • Previous court orders

Questions clients ask

Can a murder case be compromised?

Certain offences can be compounded by the legal heirs under Pakistani law, but it depends on the offence and facts, and the court's role remains important. We advise on your specific case.

Is bail possible in a murder case?

It is difficult, but courts consider it in suitable cases, for example where the case calls for further inquiry. Each application depends on its own record.

What should the family do first?

Avoid discussing the facts widely, keep copies of all papers, and take legal advice before any statement is made to the police.
