FIR Lawyer in Karachi
FIR registration, Justice of the Peace applications and advice on responding to a registered FIR.

In brief
Under section 154 CrPC, the police should record information about a cognizable offence. When they refuse, a person may apply to the Justice of the Peace under section 22-A CrPC, and in suitable cases a private complaint may be another route.
We draft clear applications, set out facts that show the offence, and help you pursue the right remedy. We also advise people who have been named in an FIR on what to do next.
Complainants whose FIR is being refused or delayed, and persons named in an FIR.

How the matter moves
We prepare a factual complaint and submit it to the police station concerned. If there is refusal or delay, we file an application before the Justice of the Peace, who may issue directions to the police. If an FIR already exists, we obtain a copy and advise on bail and the investigation.
Papers to keep ready
- Written account of the incident
- Medical report, where relevant
- Evidence such as messages, photos or receipts
- CNIC and any prior police applications

What if the police refuse to register an FIR?
You can apply to the Justice of the Peace under section 22-A CrPC, and depending on the facts, consider a private complaint.
How do I get a copy of an FIR?
The complainant is entitled to a copy, and a copy can usually be obtained through the police station or online systems, or by your lawyer.
Can an FIR be cancelled?
An FIR can be disposed of through the investigation report or quashed by a court in limited situations. It is not simply withdrawn on request.
