In brief

The Employees' Old-Age Benefits Act 1976 provides pensions and related benefits through EOBI, while the Sindh Employees' Social Security Act 2016 provides medical and other benefits through SESSI. Workers often find their employment was not registered or their contributions not paid.

We assist workers and survivors in getting benefits, and we assist employers contesting contribution demands, including through the appropriate appeal forums.

Who this is for

Workers, retirees, survivors of deceased workers, and employers who have received contribution demands.

How we can assist

  • Pension and benefit claims
  • Proof of service and registration issues
  • Survivor claims
  • Employer contribution assessments
  • Appeals before adjudicating authorities

When clients come to us

  • An employer did not register you or pay contributions
  • Your pension claim has been refused or delayed
  • A widow is seeking a survivor's benefit
  • A business has received a large contribution demand

How the matter moves

We review your service records and any correspondence with the institution. An application or representation is made with the supporting evidence. If refused, the matter can go to the relevant authority or appeal forum under the law.

Papers to keep ready

  • EOBI or SESSI card, if any
  • CNIC and service certificate
  • Salary records and employer details
  • Death certificate for survivor claims

Questions clients ask

What if my employer never registered me?

It may still be possible to prove your employment with other evidence, and the issue can be raised with the institution.

Can a widow claim?

Survivors may be entitled to benefits, depending on the worker's contribution record and the law.

Can employers challenge a demand?

Yes, through the appeal or adjudication procedure provided by the relevant law, but it must be done on time.
