Debt Recovery Lawyer in Karachi

Recovering unpaid money through legal notices, summary suits and execution of decrees.

Stacks of coins on a white surface

In brief

When a borrower, customer or business partner will not pay, the proper route depends on the documents you hold. A negotiable instrument or written acknowledgment may allow a summary suit under Order XXXVII CPC, while other claims proceed as regular recovery suits.

We look at your documents and limitation, send a firm legal notice, file suit where needed, and enforce the decree against assets that can be identified.

Who this is for

Lenders, traders, suppliers and businesses owed money, and persons defending recovery claims.

How we can assist

  • Legal notices and settlement agreements
  • Summary suits on negotiable instruments
  • Regular suits for recovery
  • Attachment before judgment
  • Execution of decrees

When clients come to us

  • A friend or relative will not repay a loan
  • A client has left invoices unpaid
  • A business partner is withholding money
  • You have won a decree but not been paid

How the matter moves

We verify the debt and limitation, send a legal notice, and try to get a documented settlement. If there is no payment, we file a suit. In a summary suit, the defendant must first obtain leave to defend. A decree can then be enforced by execution.

Papers to keep ready

  • Loan agreement, cheque or promissory note
  • Invoices and account statements
  • Messages acknowledging the debt
  • Details of the debtor's assets

Questions clients ask

What if there is no written agreement?

A claim can still be possible through bank records, messages and witnesses, although it will be harder to prove.

What is the limit for filing?

It depends on the type of claim and acknowledgments. Generally act well within the limitation period.

Can the court freeze assets at the start?

Attachment before judgment is possible in suitable cases, but it requires specific grounds.
