Habeas Corpus Lawyer in Karachi
Urgent petitions to recover persons held in illegal custody by police, agencies or private individuals.

In brief
Where a person is being unlawfully detained, a court can order that they be produced and released if no lawful basis exists. This relief is available under section 491 CrPC and Article 199 of the Constitution.
Time is critical. We prepare and file the petition quickly with the facts available, and it can also be used in appropriate cases when a child or woman is being unlawfully held.
Family members and friends of a person detained illegally or held without being produced before a Magistrate.
How we can assist
- Section 491 CrPC applications
- Article 199 petitions in the High Court
- Bailiff and production orders
- Recovery of detainees held by private persons
- Follow-up against unlawful detention
When clients come to us
- Police picked up someone and deny having them
- A person has not been produced before a Magistrate within the legal time
- A woman or child is being held against her or their will
- A relative is held in private custody
How the matter moves
We gather details of when, where and by whom the person was taken. The petition is filed before the competent court, which may appoint a bailiff to visit the place of detention or issue a notice to produce the person. The court then decides on the lawfulness of the custody.
Papers to keep ready
- Details and CNIC of the detained person
- Time, place and witnesses to the detention
- Applications sent to the police
- Photos, CCTV or call records, if any
