In brief

The Sindh Consumer Protection Act 2014 gives consumers remedies against defective products and faulty services, and against misleading claims. A consumer can seek a refund, repair, replacement or compensation through the Consumer Court.

The Act has notice and time requirements, so sequencing matters. We send a proper notice first, and then file a complaint if the seller or service provider does not fix the problem. We also defend businesses against such claims.

Who this is for

Buyers of goods or services, and businesses that have received a consumer complaint.

How we can assist

  • Legal notices to sellers and service providers
  • Consumer Court complaints
  • Refund, replacement and compensation claims
  • Builder and service contract complaints
  • Defending businesses against claims

When clients come to us

  • A new product is defective and the seller refuses to help
  • A paid service was not delivered
  • An advertisement was misleading
  • An e-commerce order was never delivered or refunded

How the matter moves

We check your purchase records and send a notice giving the provider a chance to resolve the problem. If it is not resolved, a complaint is filed in the Consumer Court, the other side responds, evidence is considered and an order is made.

Papers to keep ready

  • Receipt, invoice or online order record
  • Warranty or service agreement
  • Photos of the defect
  • Messages and complaints to the seller

Questions clients ask

Do I need to send a notice first?

Generally yes, written notice is an important step, and the law's timing rules should be followed.

Is a receipt essential?

It helps a lot, but bank records and messages can also serve as proof of purchase.
